Random Review

Initially I'm planning to review each and every korean drama I've watched. I can't find time to create a thorough review as of now.  I'll just go through it randomly (I've watched a handful not all are included, here). Here it goes...

My Name is Kim Sam Soon - Romance- Comedy 16 Episodes
Casts: Hyun Bin and Kim Soon Ah
The story is about an almost 30-ish patissier, single, unattractive who got dumped by her boyfriend on Christmas eve. That same day  she accidentally went into a man's restroom and there she met a rude and yet considerate guy who is younger than her. Through another coincidence, she (Kim sam soon) needs a job and he (Hyeon Jin Hun) needs a patissier for his shop. They end up having a dating contract to for 50 million won ($50,000). They then started to have feelings for each other, conflicts and other twist follows.

I'd say..: The lead actress is not the usual, pretty, slim, young and refined woman.(trivia- KSA added 7kgs for this role, I still think its not that fat) Hyun Bin's handsome face is a given fact to love this drama, but he's not all looks. He portrayed the character as a serious lets-talk-business restaurant owner. The casting was excellent, and their chemistry rocks, the lines are funny and witty. This story only goes to show that age and money doesn't matter when it comes to love. Its a feel good drama that everyone would enjoy, teens and adults alike.

Princess hours  (Also known as Goong) 24 Episodes
Casts:Yoon Eun Hye and Joo Ji Hoon
The series starts of about the news of the King being seriously ill. The crown prince Shin (Joo Ji Hoon) needs to find a wife for him to be capable of taking over the throne in any case something bad happens to the king. Shin, inlove with a talented ballerina, Hyo Rin proposed to her to be his wife, but got turned down because Hyo Rin still have lots of plans and dreams for her future than to stay inside the palace. Shin was betrothed to marry a commoner as per an agreement made by the old king to show his gratitude to the man  who saved his life, Chae-Kyong's( Yoon Eun Hye) grand father. Shin, being rejected decided to marry a commoner despite initially feeling nothing for each other. Eventually being with the cool and funny Chae-Kyong, they develop feelings for each other.

I'd say..: It  seems boring at first with all those fussy stuff of Royal Family culture and what not, but I guess it helps us to understand a bit of how they live. The fresh faces of the lead roles, Yoon Eun Hye and Jun Ji Hun, added fun and excitement. Being new comer, they've proved that they are worth it of being the lead roles, they portrayed the roles as a pro. It's a great drama to watch, it may looked "for teenagers only" but adults would enjoy it too if they want to fall in love over again.

Jumong - Historical Drama  -81 Episodes
Casts: Song Il Guk and Han Hye Jin
Summary: Jumong was the founder of the Goguryeo in 37 BC. He was the son of General Hae Mo Su and Lady Yoo Hwa, and was raised by King Geum Wa who took him and his mother in when Hae Mo Su was believed to have been killed in an ambush by the Han Dynasty. So Seo No was a merchant's daughter who helped Jumong in realizing his dream to build a new country, and later became his second wife. - This one is very long but its worth it but it will take you some time before you can finish this drama. For those who do not like action, historical drama then this one is for you.(excepts from wiki)

I'd say..: 81 episodes.. whew! I was able to watch it and spent sleepless nights with my mom just to finish this epic drama. The heroic character of Song Il Guk (with matching pretty face) will definitely melt your heart. His brilliant mind and braveness to face all struggles just to fulfill his dreams of creating a new kingdom, is really inspiring. It may seemed boring to those who doesn't like  watching historical drama. The story is not just about fighting, it involves love and relationship, family, betrayal and the like. From the cast, costumes, plot, and location its one great epic drama.

Boys Over Flowers -25 Episodes (teenybopper)
Casts:
Koo Hye Sun - Geum Jan Di
Lee Min Ho - Gu Jun Pyo
Kim Hyun Joong - Yoon Ji Hoo
Kim Bum - Kim Bum
Kim Joon - Song Woo Bin
Everyone loved Meteor Garden based from the manga Hanayori Dango. After Meteor Garden, Japan released their very own version with the same title as the original manga "Hanayori Dango". Now, Korea released their very own Hanayori Dango. Featuring fresh faces that captures the teenage viewers. The story somehow is almost the same, poor girl (JanDi) meets 4 of the richest boys in school known as the F4(Flower 4) .JanDi is the only one who stood up against them that pisses off the F4 leader Go Jun Pyo.. who eventually fell for  her.

I'd say..: Just as we have loved Meteor garden, and Hanayori Dang just with different casting. The same story never fails to make us laugh and cry and fall in love all over again. It may have a few changes but its stil the same feel good drama. The same girl (Jandi/Sancai/Makino) we have loved eversince. I've noticed the similarities with  Lee Min Ho and Dao Ming si in terms of looks. No matter what version, Korean, Taiwanese, or Japanese, I always and will always love the second lead character Huazelei/JiHoo/Rui *wink

Shining Inheritance / Brilliant Legacy - 28 Episodes
Casts:
Han Yeo Joo ( Go Eun Sung)
Lee Seung Gi (Sun Woo Hwan)
I have no plans of watching this drama at all. I was on vacation and saw that my mom is watching a tagalized version. I sat and watch.. just a few scenes and I got hooked. The story evolves around Go Eun Sung and Sun Woo Hwan.Go Eun Sung,  a lovely, kindhearted rich girl who studies in New York, went back home for vacation and to take her brother Go Eun Woo to study music in the US. Herbrother is autistic. Her love interest, Sun Woo Hwan, a spoiled, rich boy who hates the company his grandmother is managing. He's also a student in New York. They met because their luggage accidentally got switched. Eun Sung's life changed drastically when her father died, they were thrown out of the house by her stepmother, and she lost her younger brother Sounds like a Cinderella type of story.. yes a bit but not quite. With the sudden change of her status, she was never dishearthened, instead she works hard and perseveres to be able to find her brother and continue living their lives. She then met an old woman who suffered temporary amnesia, because of her good heart she took care of the old lady that turned out to be the CEO of a food company. From then on starts the twists and turns of events for her.

I'd say...: The way the story goes is like a modern day fairytale. I don't like the chemistry between HYJ and LSG, I'm wishing she'd be paired up with Junse-oppa, and  I think the idea of making a love-square (as opposed to love-triangle) is not really that good. The characters are very much effective, you'd either love or hate them. The step mother is really such a pain and I hate her for the things she did. As much as I hate the stepmom, I've grown to love the grandmother. She's typically cool and full of tricks on her sleeves. Its still worth watchin although at some point it gets dragging, but its still the kind of drama that  you'd still get curious to find out what will happen next.

Take Care of the Young Lady - 16 Episodes
Casts:
Yoon Eun Hye - Kang Hye Na
Yoon Sang Hyun - Seo Dong Chan
Jung Il Woo - Lee Tae  Yoon
Moon Chae Won - Yeo Eui oon (she's also in Brilliant legacy)
I really like Yoon Eun Hye, from Princess hours and Coffee Prince. she's always been cast as one of the poor girl heroine. This time, she played the role of Kang Hye Na. She belongs to the wealthy upper class society, living a "princess-like" lifestyle. She's successor to the largest conglomerate group in Korea Kang San group. She's got both the looks and the the family background, the education, except for one, she has an attitude problem. Growing up with all those servants surrounding her, with a grandfather who gives whatever she likes, she's a conceited, selfish woman who thinks the world revolves around her. While carelessly driving, she knocks off the flowers that was to be delivered and made the driver Seo Dong Chan, furious. This was their first meeting that she will never forget. He made her life miserable and put her to shame by declining a settlement and putting her on community service. All plans of getting even with him, turned out eventually to Dong Chan being her new household manager.

I'd say: YEH, never failed to impress me, be it a naive commoner, a boyish poor girl or a sophisticated elite princess with an attitude, she definitely pulled it off. I love her fashion statement here. Even if her hair is short and a bit fussy and wavy she can carry it effortlessly. The story is very entertaining and enjoyable. Although I don't really feel the chemistry that much from Eun Hye and Sang Hyun (he looks too old for her), still their love and hate relationship made me laugh. I must say... you should watch this.
You're Beautiful / He's Beautiful - 16 Episodes
Casts:
Jang Geun Suk - Hwang Tae Kyung
Park Shin Hye - Go Mi nam / Go Mi nyu (Gemma)
Lee Hong Ki - Jeremy Kang
Jung Yong Hwa - Kang Shin Woo
This is a story about a fictional band called A.N.Jell who is currently in search of a new member to back up Hwang Tae Kyung, since he is currently having issues with his voice. Go Mi Nam, was selected to be the new addition to the group, but he went to US to have his eyes corrected. Mi Nam's manager searched for his twin sister, Go Mi nyu who is currently a novice nun-to be. The manager convinced her to pose for her brother just for the signing of contract, but led to her becoming the newest band member since her brother cannot return in time. She met the three members of the group and have shown less interest to Hwang Tae Kyung, the band's leader and the same way he hated Go Mi Nam and think of her as trouble. Prior to the launch, Shin Woo eventually found out that she's a girl and kept it to himself. As the story progress, Hwang Tae Kyung did find out about Go Mi Nam's secret but decided not to get invloved whatever her business is. Eventually, Go Mi Nam (Minyu) developed feelings towards Tae Kyung and she was then struggling into a love triangle between Shin Woo, Mi Nam and Tae Kyung.

I'd say..: Although this drama is about Kpop Idol band, which most adults 35-above won't enjoy,  the story is exciting and enjoyable to watch. The chemistry between Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye is amazing. You would definitely love the pouty lips of our Tae kyung and the naive Go Mi Nam. To top it all, their soundtrack was the best. their OST sold 20,000 copies on the first week it was released. You would definitely enjoy watching this kdrama.

Quotes from Secret Garden

t" Is it the best? Are you certain?"- one of the most used lines of our very own CEO. Here are the rest of the funny, sweet, mushy quotes per episode I've noted... (mostly from JW)
Episode 2:
Joo won to Chae Rin: "I'm not talking about your number. I am talking about the person who wore the same clothes as you. She acts like a man. When she's looking down, she looks chic and when she looks up, her eyes twinkle....the woman whose looks are unforgettable, your stunt woman. You don't have her phone number?"

Joo won to Ra Im:
"Don't you remember my voice? It's not a forgettable voice.."
"How come her next move is always so unpredictable?"

Joo won thinking(action school): "..it's her.. however its not the same woman who barge into my thoughts and hurt my pride...that woman sitting right in front of me, in comparison to the woman whose been running through my head is way more... cool"

Joo won to Ra Im:  "This is exactly why I keep thinking of you. Before... and even now what makes you such a strange woman is that.... Why do you look prettier when you're angry?"

Joo Won to To Yoon Seul: "If a man tells you that he's fallen in love with you at first sight ,just punch him. It's just another way of saying he wants to go to bed with you."

Joo Won talking to his mom on the phone: "When did I say I was not going to meet a woman? I will, just not a woman who babbles about destiny but one who will be a good mother and wife. The face? Mom, why are you wasting your breath? Of course she should be pretty.  A chic short haircut, tanned skin, and she doesn't smile that much. Someone who gets angry easily with eyes that are a bit sad...someone who cannot run for Ms. Korea because of a knife scar,  I am I crazy??"

Joo Won: "I've been pretty strange lately"
Gil Ra Im - "If  you're feeling strange, go to the hospital. If you're in that kind of condition, why would you com here to be diagnosed?"
Joo Won: "Because you're the cause.."

This is the part  where Gil Ra Im discovered that Joo Won is the CEO of the Loel Mall where her friend works.

Joo Won to Director: "Stop yelling at Gil Ra Im. Also you just pushed her aside. You shouldn't do that. This person is like Kim Tae hee and Jeon Do Yeon to me. I'm a fan of Gil Ra Im."  --I was moved by this dialogue.. ;)

Episode 3:
Sit up scene ( you should never miss this part)

Joo Won: "...Gil Ra Im, since what age did you become so pretty?"

Roof top convo:

Gil Ra Im:
"..why do you keep hanging around me? Why do you keep appearing? Why are you doing this? Do you like me by any chance? I ask you if you like me?"
Joo Won: "Do I seem like that of a mad man? Do I look like I'm lacking something? Have you ever seen someone like me like a woman like you? Do you think that makes any sense realistically?"
Ra Im: "Then why are you following me around?"
Joo Won: "Why are you asking me that?"
Ra Im: "Then who should I ask?"
Joo Won: "You should ask yourself....What am I supposed to do? You keep occurring to me? Whether I meet you or not, it seems  like I'm always with you. So what I am I supposed to do?....."

.... "How desperate do you think I am? What have you done to me? Why did you choose me to do this? You just hang up the phone whenever you feel like it. When I come and find you, you get angry. When I try to buy you food, you get even angrier. Even worse than that, you hit me."
......"You're a completely strange woman. But that's exactly the problem, that is. You're so strange that I find you puzzling and amazing. So right now, I'm just a mad man."

At the bar:

Joo Won to Ra Im:
"I think you are the first woman I haven't been able to handle since I've been born."

Joo Won to Ra Im: "If you had a little respect for me, you should have checked up your appearance even once. I'm not the kind of guy that would actually make you come all the way over here to give me 2,000 won ($2)"

Episode 4:

Ra Im to Joo Won: "I was hesitant if I should hit you like I always do or I should leave here with a hurtful expression that will remain in your heart for a long time.."

Joo Won to Ra Im:
"I tolerate race, skin color, religion, sexuality but I cannot tolerate looking shabby .....is shabbiness your hobby and filthiness your philosophy?"

"Are my efforts funny to you? At least I've tried.. and what have you done?"

" You're such a stubborn woman!.. show me a room where I can squeeze in to you..."

Ra Im to Joo Won's mom: "The man who was luckily born with a silver spoon in his mouth and  has lived his life so easily is not qualified to play around with me.."

Episode 5:

Joo Won to Oska: " All around the world there are 230 countries and I can speak 5 languages of those people. Nevertheless, I can't find the exact word that defines our relationship."

Oska's pick up lines  to Ra Im: "Let's toast! To the Jeju nights that will soon approach us, and to your eyes.. that are more mysterious and beautiful than the night"

Ra Im's cheesy response to Oska: "Could the reason why my eyes are so beautiful, be because of the star that came from heaven sitting in from of me right now?"

Oska to Joo Won : "You can't give up everything for a woman, but I can give up everything... and women knows that instictively.."

Joo Won: "There aren't any paved roads here. If you try to take a shortcut through the woods, you won't be able to come out.

Ra Im:  "Are you telling me this so I won't come out of it?"
Joo Won: "I'm telling you because I worry about you. Can you really do this?

Ra Im:  "If I say I can't are you gonna give me a piggy back ride?"
Joo Won: "I'd have to carry you so I can see your face"  - I love conversation too :)

Secret Garden

I was planning to give my insights to all past k-drama I've watched.  But I can't wait to give my side of story about the latest kdrama craze. Two months ago, I've watched the K-drama "Secret Garden" and I would say it was triple thumbs up! I've watched it 3 times already. I am not over it yet.

Secret Garden is listed on my "must-watch"   korean dramas. Kudos to the script writer Kim Eun Suk. It was released by SBS November last year. The story is really enjoyable, the soul swapping, the "rich man loves poor girl story" is nothing  new to us, but this drama made it into something with a bit of twist and turns. It's a fantasy romance drama. I must say, Hyun Bin really plays a big part to make this drama much more interesting that it already was Good looks aside superb performance as Joo Won captures the heart of the female audience. I love him even more than before, thanks to this drama.

Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), is a handsome, perfectionist and arrogant CEO of a famous department store. Gil Ra Im (Han Ji won)  is a pretty, feisty and stubborn stunt woman with a big heart. They accidentally met because Joo Won thought she was the actress his cousin is dating. This meeting marks the beginning of a wonderful magical  love story.

THE CEO n THE STUNTWOMAN
After their accidental meeting, Joo Won, cannot understand why Gil Ra Im is always on his mind, he was thinking he's going crazy and he blames Ra Im for doing such a thing to him.  To make matters worst, a magical event happened, their souls swapped after drinking the mysterious wine that was given to them by an old woman.

The first part of their switch was really funny. Joo Won being Ra Im and Ra Im as Joo Won. I would say Hyun Bin did a great job and Ha Ji Won's act is not bad as well. When they didn't switch back right away, I thought the story was going to be boring but it didn't. Instead it added more flavor to the story line. I'd rather show you than tell you how much this drama had affected me.

The second lead roles played their part well Oska (Yoon Sang hyun) a popular pop singer, whom most women love because of his charismatic attitude towards girls.  Yoon Seul (Kim Sa rang), is a movie/CF director , the ex girlfriend of Oska. Both of them still love each other but tries hard to denies how they feel about each other.

Overall, great casting and awesome script equals one hit TV drama. Expect more funfilled scenes. Get to see the look of that "sparkling track suit", the famous Joo Won "chant" and sweet mushy scenes that  touches the hearts of the viewers. Not to mention the lines on this drama melts every girl's heart which I will post later. So what's there not to like?

My favorite scenes:
THE CAPPUCCINO KISS

THE SIT UP SCENE

NOTE: Tagalized version will be shown May 2, 2011 in the Philippines.. I can't wait! I hope the dubbing would be as great as the lines in the korean version..

Lie to me

scene from "lie to me"

I was browsing over a korean site to check updates for the latest drama I can watch. I saw an article about an upcoming series entitled "Lie to me". Starring  Yoon Eun Hye(Princess Hours/Coffee Prince) and her love interest would be Kang Ji Hwan (Hong gil dong/Coffee house). I'm not particularly sure about the complete synopsis but it looks interesting and besides, I love the way YEH acts. It will be aired in SBS beginning May 9. That is something I'd definitely gonna watch soon.

I'm not sure why YEH is always teamed up to an older male: Gong Yoo (Coffee prince) Yoon Sang-Hyeon  ( "Take care of the young lady"), and now Kang Ji Hwan. Anyways I guess its something to look forward to to see if there's chemistry between the two lead role.

BB

Almost all of us heard this product, both for girls and guys. It is one of the most common cream used by those korean celebrities. You can find a handful of informations and review about BB creams online.

Most girls used it as foundation or primer for their face. But upon reading from the wiki, BB is actually what it stands for it's like a medicine for blemishes and acne. More information  here.

Last year because of my addiction to Kim Hyun Joong, I bought products from the faceshop to get a ticket to see him. One of the product recommended was the BB cream. I tried it and I liked it. I don't religiously use it  since I'm always cramming when I'm going out. Whenever I'm using it it looks good on my skin, it blends and evens my skin tone. I am not so sure though if it really removes blemishes and scars. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin and it makes my skin look fresh. I am just referring to the faceshop brand. I haven't tried other brands since this is the first BB I've tried so far.

This is the one I'm using. It's a BB and emulsion in one ( i don't really know what emulsion is.. will find out)
I just use a pea size to cover my whole face it depends on you if you want more coverage. It has spf 20 and oil control solution.

More and more BBs are available in the market, with enhanced formula like skin whitening, sunscreen, moisturizing effects etc.

It's a must have.

Full House

Justin loves Jessie

Full house is one of the most successful Korean novela that sweep asia pacific and western countries such as US and parts of Europe, and to quote Wikipedia "...main reasons for the expansion of South Korean culture known as the Korean wave". I couldn't agree more. I love this drama from start to finish you'll never get bored and you could watch it over and over again without getting tired of the lovely face of Song Hye kyo. She really nailed this drama.

I'm using Jessie and Justin as their name just like Stairway to heaven, I've watch it first hand on GMA network tagalog dubbed.

Jessie(Song Hye Kyo) is a vibrant naive girl who aspires to become one of the best script writer. She lives in a uniquely designed beautiful house that her father built for their family. They call it full house because it denotes their house is full of love and happiness.
Justin(Bi) was a famous korean actor. He is egoistic and meticulous not to mention with a bad temper. He's been secretly inlove with his childhood friend Loraine(Han Eun jung).

Jessie was tricked by two of her so called "best-friends" that she wona ticket to China for free, not knowing that they have plans of selling her house and getting all her money from the bank. She met Justin on her way to China, they were on the same plane. Their encounter was not really promising.

Jessie went back home, just then she realized that her house was sold.. to Justin. In an effort to buy back her house, she decided to live with Justin as his maid. But Justin made other plans and they eventually got into a contract marriage. They eventually develop feeling towards each other.

It's one adorable romantic-lovestory comedy that you shouldn't miss. The characters are very lovable. Both Rain and Song Hye Kyo's portrayal was flawless. I love the vibrant, naive approach of Song here, very different from her previous character. Rain on the other hand was super cute everytime he smiles. I like his expression specially when he gets jelous of Luigi (Yoo Min-hyuk).

The characters are great and lovable. The supporting cast are good as well specially the grandmother.

The OSTs suits the drama. I can't understand a thing on one of the music except "I think I love you", but I love it's rhythm and beat.

I love the house! I've been wanting to go to  South Korea for a long time and one of my itenerary would probably to go to this Full house. From what I've searched it is near Incheon. It's one of the tourist spot in South Korea.

I couldn't say more. Just watch it and you'll really enjoy every minute of the entire 16 episodes.

The innocent looking face
Justin's smile
sweet moments

Stairway to heaven drama

Stairway to heave is one of the first korean drama I've watch dubbed in tagalog. I watched it from GMA, that time it was part of their prime time show together with Fullhouse. If you want a heart breaking heavy drama then this one is for you.  I'll be using Cholo (Cha Song ju) and Jodi (Han Jung suh) that was their name in the tagalog version of the drama.

Cholo and Jodi practically grew up together since their parents are close friends. When Jodi's mother died of eye cancer, her father remarried to a divorced actress. She brought her kids with her to live with Jodi and his dad. That's the start of Jodi's agony. Eunice was green with envy to the kind of life Jodi has. She together with her mom decided to take everything away from Jodi that includes cholo.  Because of Jodi's kind heart, Tristan developed feelings for her but Jodi and Cholo is inlove with each other. When they were about to leave to study abroad, Jodi got hit by a car and they thought she died, not knowing that Tristan, Eunice and Mira hid Jodi secretly to her family and Cholo since she lost her memory due to that accident. But then fate made its way for them to meet again after several years when everything else had fallen into places... Jodi was diagnosed with eye cancer.

I love the story but there are moments that I hate Jodi's kindness was like not realistic anymore, I don't know if she's overly kind or what. Its a typical korean drama wherein one of the protagonist died in the end. The actors although few.. were great. Hats off to Mira and Eunice because of their effective portrayal of the role.. I hated them so much hahaha! Cholo was sooo cool! It's sad that Tristan died to give his eyes to Jodi who will then die in the end... In fairness to this story, there are happy moments too! I love the wacky sweetness of Cholo towards Jodi. I cried the most when Jodi lost her sight.
If you're into tragic love story.. this one's for you

Sooo korean

I've been watching korean drama I guess since 2002? ....

Prior to that I was hooked to one of taiwanese Drama Meteor garden, that started my journey to the Asian drama craziness hahaha. I started loving Korean drama when I've watch Stairway to Heaven and followed by full house. The cast and characters are really good in portraying their role.(Most of their movies are awsome as well)

I love how the male lead roles are not afraid to express themselves in the drama (not sure if its true in real life though).

My addiction is actually on-and-off type. Depends on my availability because we all know once you started watching, you'll continue till the break of dawn just to finish a 16 episodes (or more).... yes sleepless nights...

I just recently watch "My Princess" and "Secret Garden" I love em. I love Secret Garden story better than My Princess though, ( but both of them are worth watching) I love the fantasy love story that they've added to the twist of this love story. It something new from the previous dramas I've watched. I personally like Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won, they were great actors. I guess Secret Garden would be added to the memorable list of dramas I've watched. Still Full House is my top 1, and I can repeat that story over and over without getting tired of Song Hye Kyo's beautiful face.

Any ways not even with their drama but Kpop has conquered Asia as well. Most KPOP singers. Although most of the listeners cannot understand what they were saying.. their faces and style made them famous.. and of course their voice and the beat of the sound of their music.

They're really moving forward! Aja!

first part are excepts from my personal blog

Windstruck

Yes, another Jeon Ji Hyun movie. Another heart-warming romance movie but with a bit sadness to it. To those who've watched this movie must be thingking its the  the prequel of the movie My Sassy Girl. Well it seems like that, but i don't think it is. First the guy here is a teacher and the girl is already working as a policewoman(Yeo Kyung-jin), from the movie Sassy Girl "the girl" is still a college student. I guess it helps to have Chae Tae Hyun's cameo role in the end of this movie to give a twist to the viewers.

They've met accidentally when Kyung Jin(JJH) was chasing a snatcher and accidentally catch Myung woo (Jang Hyuk) instead thinking he took the purse. Both of them was given a job that made them develop deep feelings for each other. Their trip to the country side made it more meaningful, from that point Myung woo mentioned if he died he wanted to come back to earth as a wind.

Movie Trailer:

Overall amazingly beautiful. It's romantic action comedy and drama all rolled into one.
Deserves 5 out of 5 popcorn rating

My Sassy Girl ( Korean Movie)

This was the first korean movie I've watched and eversince I craved for more. It was an unusual love story, from start to finish you would definitely enjoy it. I've watched this movie I guess 6 times including the director's cut.  I really fell in love with this movie. They've divided the movie into 3 parts like a basketball game, first half second half and overtime.

My rating would be 6 out of 5 stars hehehe, that means I highly recommend this movie.
Casts: I don't know any korean movie stars before. After watching this film I searched for them. I really like the way Cha Tae Hyun portray his role as Gyun Woo with that "questioning" look and the hestitant reactions he have when he wants to either follow the girl or not.  I don't think anyone is capable of  becoming a "Gyun Woo" The lovely girl  "Jeon Ji Hyun"  really does deserves the award of best actress given to her. I love her eversince and watch all movies she made. Who can be sassier than this girl's portrayal.  They look good together eventhough Jeon Ji Hyun is way too pretty for the leading man ( no offense to the Chae Tae Hyun fans), despite of a few characters involved the two of them alone can make this movie into what it has become.
Story: Its unique! That's all I can say. Favorite part would be the 100th days celebration, and the time they are saying good bye to each other. The ending is not really what I was thinking of but I'm glad it did turned out that way.

Here are a few pictures from the movie:

Holler!

Hi all!  This is not my first time to create a blog, just created one to separate my personal blog from my insights about movies, drama, food and places. It's 70% Korean reviews. I'd still discuss non korean topics from time to time. Thanks!
Cheers
